Short Biosketch of Associate Professor Weidong Pan
Bored in 1982,Liaoning, China,Weidong Pan received his BA, MA and PhD at China University of Mining and Technology (Beijing) in 2004, 2006 and 2009. He served as an Associate Professor at China University of Mining and Technology (Beijing) since 2014, and also as a visiting at Penn State University in the Unite States from 2015 to 2016.
Pan has experience with ground control in mining engineering, including underground coal mining,intelligentmining of Longwall Top Coal Caving. Pan teaches undergraduate courses:Coal Mining Sciences, English of Mining Engineering,and Longwall Miningfor graduate students home and abroad.
Pan received scientific and educational awards including the Second Class Prize of the National Natural Science Award. Pan has authored 3 booksandover 20 refereed journal papers.
